Disillusion in a Russian submarine
Then that thing surged crawling in backward motion at the engine room of the nuclear submarine «Semenewicz»: her hair got accidentally entangled in the propeller
it was a siren -or ayalga-, mythological inhabitant of the seas of Europe, rivers of Asturias and lagunas of the Classical antiquity.
The sailors found this revelation truly disappointing: she was unattractive, not human enough, and had too many eyes to be loved, and she smelled like rancid mackerel, and her triangular mouth only pronounced a high-pitched but timid screech, like a cricket, and her only leg ended in a sort of membranous tail fin... and her vagina? Where it was anyway?
Indignant for this ugliness, the captain Mateyko made the submarine emerge, and the unnamed siren was thrown violently to the Barents Sea, where she came from.
